One Stop Café- Currently at Sedbury and Beachley Village Hall
The One Stop Café happens every Tuesday 10am – 12pm. It is run by volunteers who serve refreshments and make conversation with anyone who turns up. Volunteers can also help with internet searches, photocopying/ printing, form filling, phone calls or just provide a listening ear.
The café is also supported by a number of different agencies providing expert advice and care including:
- Forest of Dean Community Wellbeing Agent, - signposting to help and advice on all aspects of social care, mental and physical health and well-being;
- Forest Sensory Services every 2 months- help and advice on hearing and sight loss, as well as cleaning, retubing and batteries for hearing aids;
- Community minister, (most weeks) - offering a listening ear and prayer if desired as chaplain;
- Forest of Dean Digibus service to help, advise and support with IT/mobile phone technical issues.
