Outcomes from the consultation
Following the Celebrate Sedbury consultation a group of residents gathered together to discuss the outcomes and came up with three tasks. For each one a working party of volunteers was formed to take it forward.
- Community Clean Up – in partnership with Two Rivers Housing, the Street Wardens and Wyedean School we ran a couple of Action Days to clean up the area.
- Communication – the consultation highlighted that there was already a lot going on in Sedbury and surrounding area but not many people knew about it. A Facebook group was launched and we began to advertise local activities and events in the window of the youth club.
- Feasibility Study into developing the underused youth club facility for wider community use. We considered what other community venues and facilities were available in the area and what these premises could uniquely offer to the community.
